Marking Topics as Favourites
A nice feature would be for members to be able to mark topics as favourites, which get stored in the mySQL DB along with the member's profile. Almost like "Sticky" on a per-user basis. Appreciate this is not necessarily a cheap operation from a mySQL point of view, however.
Yes, I know Browser bookmarks effectively do the same thing but it would be nice to have access to my favourite topics regardless of what machine/device I am browsing the site from.
It would be exposed in the global navigation as "Favourite Posts".
Just a suggestion...

Possibly, but the problem I have with using "Watched Topics" for this is that I already have pages and pages of Watched Topics simply because I contributed to a topic either as the original poster or a respondent to a topic.
After almost 10 years*, the forum now contains so many useful posts, Search frequently unearths many posts covering the same subject, containing similar keywords. Some posts are more useful than others.
What I was asking for was the ability to star certain posts in order for me to quickly find them at a later date. Kind of like how I can star certain emails in Gmail to enable me to find them quickly in the future.
Taking the requirement one step further, I would like to be able to search my "Favourite Topics" to locate specific posts (rather than trawling through the entire forum for what I am looking for).
Not a biggie, but I can see that the forum is becoming bloated with duplication of questions and answers as second, third, and fourth D3 owners come onboard. Maybe the answer is more one of consolidating what we have than developing a function to handle the bloat?
