This link should help, though Northamptonshire CC have had a policy of using TRO's on all byeways through winter months, so might not be open until April.

Very nice lanes in Northamptonshire - but as said, TRO's are used on many to avoid damage.

Few years ago, (2013) i was green laning on legal motorised access green lanes around Silverstone circuit.
Bearing in mind i was doing it on a KTM motorcycle, but the routes were fairly wide and ok for four wheeled vehicles.
Not sure if theyre still listed as BOATs but cant see why not.

There are some really good ones round northants, farndish, and bedford area. However, lots are being closed permanently as they've been wrecked! Shame really.
I used to do them all the time, take some lunch and a flask, me and the missus would spend the day doing laning.
Tend to get the off roaders use them a lot tho.
Steve You remind me of a younger me, not much younger mind...perhaps even a little older!

A few are only accessible with a motorbike, cannot remeber all, some time ago I diid them but one running through Hazelborough Wood upto A43 outside Silverstone is still a motorbike only lane, though was always a narrow track D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST
