Screen fading in and out

Hi all,

Two weeks into my Land Rover ownership and running into my first problem. I've an issue where the screen fades from bright to dull every so often - it's quite distracting but nothing more. I've searched the forums for an answer but I don't see one. Clearly something electrical - I don't think it's the battery charge as this was on the way back from a very long run.

Any ideas on what the fix might be?

Thanks in advance,

Andy

It happens in the winter, when low sunlight hits the light sensors the screen increases its intensity to counteract what it thinks is a bright day, then you pass behind an obstruction, the sunlight disappears and the intensity is reduced to normal for a winters day Thumbs Up

If you access the hidden diagnostics screen you can watch the backlight brightness reading fluctuate as this happens

Thanks for that. I tried to correlate the two but it just seems to go bright - dull - bright - dull - bright - dull ad infinitum, almost at a predetermined rate.

Thanks

Try adjusting the backlight dimming, the one by the light switch... Mine does this if set to minimum, crank it up and all is well...

Thumbs Up
