Has anyone come across this before?? its a 12 plate so is still under warranty.
Cheers,Tony Its not the height of the fall but the sudden stop at the bottom that hurts!!

That's strange, over the last 10 days mine has started to do this too. Does it on I pod dab and FM.
Get a short crackle, then silence for a few seconds then all ok.
Have tried putting a stop watch on it but it seems to be very irregular, think it have to go to the dealer to sort providing they can replicate it when at the dealer

Had the same issue start about 10 days ago, but seems to be the TV not the digital radio! - looses all signal, and the channel display in the dash disappears, then all comes back on after 2/3 secs, there has been a rattle behind the dash & I thought it must be a loose connection but it sounds as if it's a common issue!

I haven't tried to disconnect the battery but I did change the TV tuner settings to USA and this has stopped the problem. Interested to see what the official LR fix is Its not the height of the fall but the sudden stop at the bottom that hurts!!

My D4 was at the dealers last week and ended up having a new head unit and amplifier fitted. I now have this issue too. Never had before until now. It does it when listening to the radio, cd or usb.
The RRS I had for 4 days also had the problem. D5 2017 HSE Lux

Funny enough...or not...it started happening to mine a week or so ago. It was fine until it went into the dealers for a service and now it seems to happen, on all sources.
Actually I just found this on the RRS forum post that was mentioned above.

Title: Audio Loss/Crackle Category: Electrical Last modified 05-Sep-2013 00:00:00 Symptom207000 Entertainment Systems Content
Issue:
Customer failure mode is an intermittent 1-2s loss of audio in any source, which then recovers but can happen multiple times.
The occurrences may vary depending on location and proximity to transmitters in the UK.
Cause:
The issue first occurred on Wednesday 28th August and corresponds with a change in the UK Broadcast for TV Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) feature.
This issue appears only to affect vehicles fitted with the Lear Hybrid TV module.
The broadcast causes the TV module to carry out a reset which results in a temporary loss in audio, irrespective of which audio function is being used e.g. (Radio, CD, etc).
Action:
As a temporary measure and with customer approval it is possible to mask this drop out by setting the TV region to USA. However, this does prevent the TV from operating but provides a quick although temporary fix until a more permanent resolution can be found.
1. No parts are to be changed in an attempt to resolve this issue.
2. Disable TV by selecting USA region from the touchscreen
3. It is essential to perform a successful shut down of thevehicle electrical system, by ensuring the ignition system is off and not used for a minimum of 5 minutes. This ensures the TV records this as a 'last good state' and that the new region is stored when the vehicle is powered on.
4. This is a temporary solution until permanent fix can be established. JLR will communicate this permanent fix as soon as possible.

My dealer rang me today asking if the car was okay after the work they carried out last week.
I mentioned the issue with the crackle, and he knew all about it and advised I set the region of the TV to the USA. He said he'd contact me when there was a fix. D5 2017 HSE Lux

I popped into local Stratstones this afternoon to log this fault with them, I've now switched to USA region for temp fix. Service Manager said he'd had lots of calls regarding this. When a solution is found he'll be in touch.

I have been experiencing problems with my entertainment system for a while now (probably since its last service) where the audio just cuts out for a couple of seconds, does not matter what I am listening to. If its the Ipod, it cuts out and a couple of seconds later it says connecting to ipod and all is well again until the next time. When watching TV it does the same except when it comes back on, your on a different channel!

It's also affecting my work car - jaguar xjl. Changed the region on the tv to USA and stops the crackle and pop. Still awaiting a proper fix.

I have also been having problems but as I always have the phone with me and connected via blue tooth I was thinking the problem was phone related but reading this thread perhaps not.
When the radio cuts out and the telephone screen is showing, I notice the network name and signal strength bar disappear from the screen for the duration of no sound but the screen on the actual phone is still showing a good signal.
If this drop out happens during a call, the person I am talking to tells me they get my radio coming through and then the call is reconnected after the couple of seconds or so.
Anyone else spotted this?

+1 for me. All of the above symptoms. Have contacted the dealer and waiting for them to get back to me.
