Hello @ Everyone,
Been reading up various posts from the site since I decided to get an LR3 last year.
Cant tell you all how the various posts help me reach the conclusion that my life was incomplete without an LR3.
I live in Nigeria and have spent the last 5 months searching for the PUURFECT LR3 and finally settled for a beautiful Java Black 2006 HSE with Tan seats two weeks ago.
I'm getting it shipped from New York to Nigeria, but first would like to throw in a few mods.
I'm interested in some quad exhausts, colour coding, installing the rear dvd, rear view cam, side steps, front A-bar, tints in front, , 20" wheels (considering the stormers) and I'm very open to suggestions on where to get this done in the USA ( Pensylvania/Delaware where the car is located) and for other vehicle enhancemenmts.
Only thing now is how keep the wife from knowing how much i'm spending on my new found love who I must add deserves every penny
Thanks @ all for a great site and to Martin and everyone that makes this possible.

lol I see theres no shortage of comedians on the site. yes the terrain is made for the LR3. We have a good number of em here so i should probably get some kind of Nigerian section going with Martin's kind permission.
Have to be inventive with the servicing though cos the guy who looks after my cousins Range Rover just told me the local stealership charges nearly $10,000 just to get your car registered with them.
I take it your a scot then Doctor Diesel and love Glaswegian nurses?

Hey d5xs, any LR dealership should be able to do the bits for you, unless someone knows an indie shop that does LR3 work up in New England. Curious why you're having an LR3 shipped over, cheaper than a D3 from S. Africa? I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

Hello sideview, thanx for the reply. The dealer closest to where the car is in Lancaster Pensylvania, dosen't have the roof mounted dvd player in stock. Found a dealer that has one in Delaware though. We dealt we them before when we purchased two beautiful Alpaca Green Lr3's from them. Still to locate the 20" stormers though.
Wel from my research the LR3 is cheaper in the USA. Anyone know how much a Java Black, 2006 LR3 HSE with 9,000 miles on the clock would cost in South Africa?

Dont worry Doc, your secrets safe with me.
Well I am indirectly in the oil business as the company I work for is involved in oil exploration. Yet to strike any oil though as we are still in the exploratory phase but fingers crossed some day......................

Welcome fellow African! A D3 HSE in SA goes for US $81000 new and about 20% less than that for used, so don't even consider buying in SA. All motor vehicles imported into SA are taxed by 54%.This is to protect the local motor manufacturing industry. We have the following factories here: Toyota,VW,BMW,Mercedes,Mitsubishi,Isuzu,Ford and Mazda.

Hey d5xs, if you're looking for Stormers, try my mate 8) Devon.
He supplied mine, excellent service and at a cost of £980 inc tyres, valves, balancing, fitting [& UK vat].
[that's around $1700 which excludes UK vat]
He might be able to export to you.
Drop him an e-mail [and mention me and D3] on sales@dgt-international.com
web: www.dgt-international.com
worth a try!!
edited - sorry just noticed you don't want replicas - Devons are, but I cannot fault them!
You will pay I reckon around $1000 per wheel [without tyres] for originals!
oh and enjoy the D3 experience ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
