True but not everyone has an IPhone 5 and/or an Ipad3 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I Like to know if in the future it will be possible for those who do not have the bluethooth iid tool unit connect trough cable and access the interface on the mobile phone or tablet without having to use the cruise control buttons.
This is not part of the plan, but updating the PC version will be done in time.

Hi
So question to the GAP guys....... if 2.19 is now 3.0 (thanks Robbie) is it still projected to be a Feb release or do you think we might need to be a bit more patient ?
Thanks

The beta phase was schedule to start in the beginning of February and was delayed 2 weeks. Therefore, if everything goes according to plan, we should release to the general public in mid March.http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/

Very interested in a PC version similar to the bluetooth app, via cable because:
1. There is no Windows Phone version.
2. I will never own a product with a bitten fruit printed on it (just my opinion, don't start wars on this!)
3. Android is OK but I'm still a heavy Windows 8.1, Windows Phone and Microsoft Surface RT user and fan (and all the seamless synching that combination gives), apart from being a Windows developer by trade, and it doesn't make sense to buy an android tablet just for the IID Tool
4. I have a Car PC in the D3 (although still running windows XP) which I could hook it up to
5. Worst case (eg. if Windows XP is not supported), I could drag my laptop down to the car when I need to use the interface.Dennis

Hi Joe
The current PC software is only a replica of the integrated interface (4 buttons and a screen display), it does not allow viewing live values in a graph scale like on an iPad for example. It is only used as a backup solution in specific cases.
The PC software is available for download on our website. The IIDTool itself needs to be at V2.18 or above.
Cheers
Thanks for this and apologies for all the questions,
you mention the IIDTOOL needs to be version 2.18, if a new software comes out for it in say march can i update this tool (assuming i bought a tool now) to the latest software or would i have to buy another tool?
I was under the impression there were updates for the older tools to bring them in line with the latest developments, which was a big attraction of the tool over any other.

Hi Guys
Nighthawk: i'm sure you are not the only one interested in it and this is why it is in the pipeline.
Sloppy: No need to apologize, it is our pleasure to answer all questions.

All IIDTools can be updated via the USB connection and the updater software (both Mac and PC), no need to replace the tool. The hardware cannot be updated and this is why we offer to exchange a non Bluetooth IIDTool for an IIDTool BT.

Nunocosta,
I gather that you having an IIDTool you have registered it @Gap-Diagnostics. So go to:
http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/login.html. There is a "I forgot my password" option just in case. Once you're in, go to my products and you'll see your tool there. There's an option "downloads", and choose either the uodater for windows or Mac.
Everyhting else needs no explanation once you have downloaded, installed and opened the updater. I can do this, assume my wife can too, so for a D3 driver, having had to deal with complicated stuff (even if everything works well) peace of cake.RLD Sump Guard

Fair enough, you never know if someone just misses the obvious stuff. If you've got a mail from GAP, I guess you're gonna be ok on that part too. Nice and helpful bunch of people there!RLD Sump Guard
