Hey Guys, yes it's Tinsley Viaduct. It's a few years back, just thought it may be of interest to a few of you.If in doubt, It's time for a Cuppa.

That sure is Tinsley, a fine structure indeed. I've had the pleasure of walking it both on deck and in the service areas below back when all the reinforcing was being put it. the cooling towers were still there then and much discussion there was about how to remove them.
For those interested, the reasons it had to be reinforced were around an identical bridge in Australia (I think) which had suffered partial structural failure due to an un-calculated weakness in one plane. I'm no engineer you understand but at the time I was IT Director at the firm of Engineers who did the designs and the Principal Engineer tried to explain it to me. It was fascinating TBH and I still think it's a marvellous structure.
Others that the company were responsible for (in whole or in part) were the Second Severn Crossing, the M6 Toll, Spaghetti Junction, The original Wembley Stadium and many others. A really interesting company to work for in fact.
The only other bridge which I find as fascinating is the Humber Bridge. I remember as a kid watching it being built, stood on the north bank of the Humber at the age of 5 or 6. I think at the time it was the longest single-span suspension bridge in the world.
I was there at the ungodly hour in September 2008 when they were demolished, well nearly demolished, part of the northern tower put up a fight! It was a shame to see them go but a hell of a sight
