Warranty Direct Not Happy |
|
Just had my non working Air-Con diagnosed at Guava Guildford which turns out to be 4 hoses leaking.
They got in touch with Warranty Direct and told them the problem, then this morning I had a phone call from WD only to be told hoses are not covered by my ( extra care warranty policy ).
It now seems I will have to foot a quite expensive bill to have the hoses replaced.
Guava tell me that its around a 7 hour job and at £100 an hour plus parts it seems its going to be quite costly Grrrrr !!
This is the first time I've used Warranty Direct and I'm not happy after spending £720 taking out the policy. Makes me wonder if I had a serious engine problem whether they would wriggle out of it.
Thanks Warranty Direct
Rant over.
Now I'm just going to open a bottle of wine and eat some prawns ( that'll make me feel better ) D3 Metropolis Bonatti Grey-Alpaca Leather-adaptive headlights-fridge-EGR blanking kit-Harmen Karden-Cruise-4x4 info enabled-Tinted Windows-Heated F&R Seats-Rosen rear Entertainment-LED'S everywhere -Smoked Side Repeaters-Rear Aircon-Vredestein Wintrac 4 Extreme-Puddle and Footwell Lamps-Stainless Steel Side Protection Tubes- NEW ASHTRAY ( thanks to dsd1036 )

get a mobile aircon guy to do it. you will save hundreds of pounds. had my aircon pipes and hoses done by a mobile chap and he was great and well priced.
it doesn't need to go to a main dealers. Duncan

I agree with discoMikey, blank the rear, then you will not be forever fixing it. Just buy the pipe for front air con only, it slots straight in

If you had WD Luxury Care it would, you need to read your policy.
With Luxury Care it names a few items it doesn't cover, everything else it does cover, with Extra Care it lists what IS covered, everything else is NOT covered, very simple

Try this http://www.bbc.co.uk/skillswise/english
Check out my post here, it is the same old moans over and over again, no matter how many times you tell people, nobody is tricking anyone, you have to READ the policy and buy what you want, you get what you pay for they are not a charity. http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic88924.h...nty+direct
Don't worry it will happen again and again and again and again

I completely agree with what you're saying Discotres but before taking out the policy i specifically asked the person on the phone if all parts of the air con were covered and he assured me they were then to find out that the hoses were not covered but the expensive components were seemed a little odd.
I read the policy to see what was covered and could see all the major air con parts were listed and didn't think for one moment that simple things like the hoses weren't. You want to read it yourself, hoses and pipes are not covered on luxury care either. It's in the terms and conditions if you read them
Seems you might be disappointed as well.
