MY14 Vision Assist pack
online configurator has been updated slightly and now dectection pack is not part of vision assist.
as i only intended to speck this as it was £1k and included surround cameras and rear detection so cheaper, does any one know if anything else in the pack that wouldn't come on a HSE lux already?

I might not be able to help...but I had this discussion with the dealer some time ago and its complex...but the detection pack was never part of the £1000 vision assist pack (eg it never had wade sensing)...im glad they have sorted that out online from what you say
It was very miss leading
Ignore the names, I keep getting them wrong...
It did list the rear protection pack in vision assist - but if you looked at the dealer configurator etc it was not part of it (it didn't have wade sensing for example). It also listed things like electric wing mirrors which are standard anyway
I didn't want Adaptive headlights or High Beam assist (personally I find both items useless after having them on the range rover) - but I did want the exterior detection and cameras - so those two options were selected...on paper it looks more (it is actually) but I was assured by LR and the dealer that the £1k pack didn't have the same.
Ive also noticed there are different things listed around TV and Split Screen now.
My cars been built so a while ago I decided to just wait and see what I get!! (next week!!!)Mike

It is a mine field I think I now understand it.
I have a my14 on order, with vision assist. it does not include Blind Spot Monitoring, Reverse Detection, or closing vehicle detection, there are added to wade sensing in the detection pack.
Vision assist does have some new functionality with the cameras looking left and right at t junctions activated by a dash button.
I did find a PDF of a document called "2014 Model Year Discovery Product brief†it is 21 pages of fine detail of all the changes. I can’t find it again having spent 20 mins. looking.
Hope this helps.Rodey L

I will...nearly into days!! after waiting for months.
Basically I think for 1000 you get Vision Assist to give, Cameras, AHBA and Active lights.
Or for £1400 you get surround cameras and the exterior pack and get:
Cameras
All the detection stuff
Wade sensing
You could then add separately AHBA and Active lights.
All the closing vehicle stuff etc (the cool stuff) doesn't come with vision assist as I understand it.
The TV options seem to have gone from the HSE and dual view seems to now be in the LUX?Mike

on monday Vision assist definatly had the rear detection gadgets as i'd specced up what i wanted and printed it out.
the HSE even had the option for extended leatehr and it had no cost to it.
had a feeling the config still needed some tweeking
hadn't noticed the lux tv option was dual view might take another look and see how much more pain the lux will give me XC90 T8 R Design Pro

Yes - the brochure had it listed too for months - but the dealer info and subsequent checking - it was never part of it (or you didn't get all of it apparently)
Isnt the lux 7k more - a lot for the TV and a few other things in my bookMike

I checked after seeing this thread because it's my last chance to confirm the specs I have ordered for March delivery

I totally agree, this is what I chatted to my dealer about. If it WAS an option, I wanted to add it but he is sure that it isn't an option!
Still, our cars are due at the beginning of March, getting excited now!

I think it might be referring to the rear seat entertainment which is standard on the Lux maybe?

It does say Dual View Television...but you are right, if they are suddenly referring to dual view being the 2 rear screens...but then that's different. There is a common implying separate
The TV options have all gone from the configurator aswell. Very odd.
Anyway I get mine sooner, in less than 7 days now, this time next week it will be mine Mike
