I've just come from having a car that had breakdown cover as part of its warranty, so I need to get some breakdown cover for the new car.
I'm after something that will do recovery, home assist, and ideally, euro cover so we can have cover when we go overseas.
I know a while back everyone seemed to use ADAC, but interested in what people think.
I've just gone on Compare the Market, and they have cover with 'Insurance Choice' and their "Gold" package which is:
Roadside Repair & Recovery to a Garage
Onward Journey Transport
Home Breakdown Cover
Replacement vehicle when yours being repaired
Overnight Accommodation
Up to 30 days euro cover
This comes in at £70, which seems like a good price for the above?

If you want value for money, Auto Aid is only £38 and covers everything except foreign travel. I've used them for years and can't fault them.

Been with the AA for a number of years but because they couldn't give us a satisfactory and consistent answer regarding breakdowns with the caravan, have opted for Green Flag via the Caravan Club
Pity as didn't want to move, cheaper however

Via Barclays - £13/month gives me full UK & EU breakdown + family worldwide travel insurance (inc winter sports) plus airport lounge access.
Works for me as its cheaper than just a travel insurance policy due to the fact that they cover my existing medical conditions. Breakdown is via RAC IIRC... but as DM says.. we drive Land Rovers... what could possibly go wrong
PS - OOI- which bank does free AA cover?1 TR6 Rusting away quietly

I also use auto aid, it covers both my wife and I, any vehicle (we have motorbikes and cars) for just short of £40 a year.
