Keeping cats..... Keeping them off my bloody car!
Anyone have any clever solutions for keeping cats off my bonnet? I park nose too under an overhang at the house. So my bonnet is dry in wet weather and if it's been driven, significantly warmer than for instance the roof of a nearby shed. The blighters are starting to scratch the paintwork on the bonnet and seem to find it irresistible if it's been freshly washed, leaving muddy prints on the bonnet .
Anyone had luck with an ultrasonic cat scarer? It's that or I'm going to rig up a PIR and fixing it to water sprayer nozzles to correct the behaviour.
I don't have a cat, but don't mind them enough to get out a BB gun as an American friend suggested. So non lethal solutions from anyone out there only please..... I know what some of you are like

my local DIY store sells chemical cat deterrents, hang them on the surround fences, access points and the cats dont like the smell, so dont come in, my parents had good success with these
whatever you do, don't spray them with water whilst they are sat on the bonnet, been cats their claws will be out for better traction and the bonnet will be scratched badly

Point about the water isn't a bad one, sharp claws making a get away won't be good! I don't want to win the battle but loose the war...

I've used a water pistol to great effect. Cheeky blighter used to sit on my doorstep actually leaning against the front door. We couldn't open the front door without it trying to get in the house. A quick squirt of cold water sorted it; it didn't come back! Bri

Buy a cat.
It'll keep the other cats away.

I'd go down the chemical route ! I wouldn't risk getting caught by the RSPCA they throw the book at you
Its a shame we don't have something similar set up to protect Children and vulnerables within our society?
Try Orange peel ? Which is alright if you like Oranges ?
Or an empty 2 litre pop bottle filled with water and dangled from the roof of said overhang, they don't like their own reflection which would probably result in the same scratch marks on the bonnet but at least you won't face a jury and a stretch inside due to the cuddly vulnerable nature of the horrible flea ridden manky P!$$ riddled thing ?
Just a thought ?Only dead fish go with the Flow !

Not sure where to get tiger poo from but a friend of mine buys rodent droppings from animal research laboratories, when he has enough he takes it to a company in Sheffield who make wait for it.....

I hate cats !
Mainly because my next door but 1 neighbours cat has killed every bird in every garden near by !
Blue tit wings, half a blackbird, dead Robbins, gold finch you get the picture !
The only two birds left on my vast feeding table are Magpies and Starlings !
I mean who likes either of those vile creatures.
That's cats, starlings, magpies oh and don't forget the great fox debate of 2013 Only dead fish go with the Flow !
