285 55 20 have been fitted, you'll need extended steering stops to prevent the tyres fouling on the chassis on full lock Thumbs Up

Regarding diameter, anything under 31.5 inches will fit without rubbing (or at most very minor rubbing under full articulation).

Is it a case of winding out the bolt for the stops or is there extended ones you can buy ?

285/55 20 is around 32 inches so I'm presuming that will just rub slightly or will they just not fit at all ?

As Beanie said, 285 55 20's will fit, but they rub slightly

285/55/20 is 32.3 inches.
IMO that will definitely rub quite a bit but I have no experience with that size.

I am running 265/70/17 which works out to 31.6 inches and they slightly grazed the wheel arches in some heavy articulation (eg. fast turn around a roundabout etc).

I'm pretty sure 32.3 inches would be digging trenches under similar conditions so will probably need a bit of a lift.

Best to hear from someone who fitted such a tyre size though.

Yep they sure do.... Whistle

Though I have fitted 3mm spacers as they are perilously close to the top suspension arm otherwise.

Thumbs Up

Didn't later model D3's have less clearance on a suspension part than earlier models, when fitting wider tyres?
