Oil leak

Well it has begun, my trusty loyal steed has started to show its age !

I noticed that there were several spots of oil where the car had been parked so ducked my head under the front end to confirm that it wasn't mine ?

Shocked

Only to find out it was, long story short and I apologise now for my none techy prowess !

It's the diff oil seal, which has a big lump of metal with rust on it butting up to where the oil appears to be comming from ? Looks like it could be a counter weight or a Flux Capicitor ?

Whilst fumbling about and mopping up some of the wet splattered oil I noticed a nice bright pink hue on what was only 5 mins before a pillow case on the washing line ?
Whistle
Needs must in an emergency !

I've even identified the hose, its above the intercooler hose NSF and is a u shaped affair ? Looks like it comes out and goes back in 2" below ?
I'm sure it's got a job and a name but its thin and prob 7" in length ?

Needless to say I will not be conducting the repairs myself, is there a repair kit for the diff oil seal ?
Is it a big job ? By big I mean expensive,
Is the little hose a Cnut to get at AND whilst there shall I get some intercooler hoses on ?

Any help and advice much appreciated Bow down

Diff seal is easy enough Thumbs Up

Remove the hub, extract driveshaft, remove the old seal. Fit new seal, refit shaft and hub Thumbs Up

Little coolant hose is a little Censored

Ah HA !

I knew you would know the hose in question ! Bow down
it looks like something that could try the patience of a saint, i have the breaking strain of a warm Kit-Kat !

Something thats best left to those that have seen this before i feel Whistle
Checked the oil level in the diff and there is some in there, but the bit thats come out has made a hell of a mess, mind you looking underneath it looks like it could do with a good Oil leak !

The dreaded Rust is everywhere !
