Hi . please could you let me know what the back of a xenon unit looks like.. Ie. how can I tell if it is complete with ballast resistor....hopes this makes sense??

Hi James,
firstly, it's just a "ballast" there is no sutch thing as a "ballast resistor"
the ballast is built in to the headlamp unit, i dont know why you want to know this, i can only assume you have been offered some xenon headlamp units and want to check that they are actually xenon's.
i am sure you can do this by the part numbers, i dont know the part numbers, but i am betting some one here will. Or you could just try plugging them in and turning them on. I only takes about 2 mins per lamp to change them. CLUB "Ah Shor it'll be grand"

Xenons have a 3 to 4 inch "fish eye" type glass lens at the front ....conventional units just have the lamp "bulb" on view 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
