The problem with the LR ones is the dye leaks out!

I am waiting for my set once they sort it out, that should have come with the car.

Regards

Chris

I thought they brought out new sand coloured ones that did not leak dye or was that only for the RRS??? Sorry folks blame me & one other site member, I had a complete new set of 7 alpaca leather seats as the dye leaked out when the car was only 3 weeks old. They then pulled them.

Dont know if this helps but i was over at James French Landrover and noticed that he does a full range of quality seat covers. Maybe worth a try. Call James himself on 01865 300717.

Try Impacta on 0800 980 6008. The seat covers I had from them seemed to be well made and were available in a quite a few colours IIRC. Mine were black but as I was never going to use them I sold them (on this site) last month to a member in Australia.

Aspen is the kind of greeny-grey, yes? I got some delivered by carrier pigeon the day before the Salisbury trip. I was after sand but nobody had any in stock. They were new in from LR on the day I ordered them, not old stock, so I hope to goodness they don't have the dye problem. The reverse side of them is a white waterproof membrane, so it suggests they should be ok. Fingers crossed....
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Hi Nodosh,

If you bought them from Landrover at that time then they will leak dye! They have been removed from sale and are still awaiting replacement. I would take them back.

Regards

Chris

The dodgy ones were taken off sale in about June last year so ones just prior to Salisbury trip will be the new lot.

These were fresh off the lorry; I'd spoken with a number of dealers (including LLR) and they all said they had been withdrawn but were expecting a revised item any day. I put them on back order and when a set arrived they were sent Special Delivery and arrived just in time for Salisbury. Definitely new stock.

Just to be absolutely concrete certain, have the new ones got a revised part number? I can check the packaging against this when I get home.
