I don't see why a site sponsor can't advertise their services here, that's what they are paying Martin for. I wouldn't be giving away my trade secrets if I did this thing for a living.

robbo770 wrote:I see the conversion you have videos uploaded for is a disco 4 MY10 yr which has the newer plug and play wiring on the mirrors as used on the new B4 MY14 cars, so no real challenge here is there...
Still maybe you will contribute to the forum on the D3 conversion like the rest of us owners do to help everyone whom want to do upgrades themselves if up to the job
Look forward to you updates
Sorry, but that is crass. I agree with CFB, this is a business that is offering a service and has spent time and money working around various issues to enable those owners that wish to facelift their car to the latest model to do so. Why would they share information that undermines a key element of their value proposition.
Some members will do this themselves, others will pay for professionals to do it, but expecting a business and sponsor to give put up a step by step guide and work around is niaive and daft.

Totally agree. Are we gonna ask advanced factors where to buy at trade price?
He pays to advertise here, he shouldn't have to give anything away at all, certainly not at the demands of members who want something for nothing. 2014 D4 XS

don't want any rows etc , sides etc, but work, time and money has been put into this so to post all info would be naïve of myself, but please note all disco forum members will receive a discount on the work to offset the lack of technical info put on here so there is some benefit to you guys, thanks for you understanding, I will post the dramas I have with the D3 mirrors:) but we have never come up against a task we could not do, well with the exception of the AFS lights not turning but lets not talk about that:)

Genuine question: And I apologise if its been asked and I skipped over it ?
Can you do anything with the interior? Most importantly dash layout ?
I agree with the majority on the upgrades, its business and as such you need to separate yourself from the DIY'er as these will not be your core business, I do not want to teach you to suck eggs but I don't want to see enthusiasm and new business going down the pan, a well known site sponsor on here let out some EGR blanks many moons ago and they were copied, mostly to ill effect but where there is a will there is a way,
I can see this conversion becoming popular moving forward !
I wish you well Only dead fish go with the Flow !

OK - have now read the thread through from beginning to end and am still confused
Early part showed an 05 D3 being stripped down, which I took to be the base vehicle. Mid way through a 10 plate appeared. Are we looking at a 10-14 upgrade and, if so, what was the relevance of the 05 vehicle? Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE
Previously:

110 V8 CSW (220k)
S3 109 hi cap pickup (ex RN)
S2A 88 Safari SW with lpg conversion (bloody lethal)
