Many thanks DurtyDisco,

This was my first thought, but all you get after some serious bids and many days was
a kind of "Sorry everyone the item has been sold elsewhere." Evil or Very Mad

And that's the point of the bay of evil.

If you're looking for a genuine event bike I think they were all hard tails.... I may get corrected on this but I was of the belief that full suspension ones were just an aftermarket thing???? You may not care !!!!! Question

G4 Event Bikes

You are correct FC, the event bikes are hardtails, I have some feelers out for Gerd in the G4 club at the moment.....

G4 Challenge Event Bikes

If you have got good condition G4 Challenge Event bikes, they must be the rarity, most of the challenge bikes I have seen are sheds......been trashed by the competitors, or unloved since release to the general public.....

I have this full suspension version, always on the look out for a decent event hardtail though

I too have a hardtail so what is the difference between an "event" hardtail & a normal one?

I have a canvas storage bag that straps onto the frame if that makes any difference?

The "Event" hardtails were used in the actual challenges, the full suspension bike was created after the challenge for owners to buy.

It's very difficult to determine if a hardtail was used on an event though, the main way to tell is if its "well used" as most of the event bikes were trashed.....

If it's in very, very good condition it probably wasn't used on events.

I also have (or rather Mrs Zeb has) the same full suspension bike as you DurtyDisco Thumbs Up

My "event bike" was used by LR IRL during a G4 Promotion, where they had a D3, RRS & Defender all in G4 livery touring around the dealers here in Ireland, fully kitted out with bikes & kayaks on the roof racks. Some careful negotiation, secured one of the bikes used during the promotion 8)

I then bought the full suspension bike for "Mrs Zeb" through my local dealer. So we have (somewhat) matching G4 bikes 8)
