New Corris Grey HSE
Will be collecting my new MY14 Corris Grey HSE once the tracker has been swapped over and the side steps have been taken off and fitted to another new D4, so as to get the undrilled sill plates. Probably next weekend as I'm too busy next week.
Premium Leather-Ebony
Grand Black Lacquer Wood Trim
Factory Privacy Glass
Plug In Tow Bar & Electrics
20" Split Spoke Aero Viper Alloys*
Full Size Spare
Rubber Mat Set
Loadspace Rubber Mat
F&R Mudflaps
Lifeshine Warranty
* Will be for sale on here soon
The vehicle was already on site and due to be registered as their Demo model. I wouldn't have ordered the 20" rims or the LifeShine. Managed to get them to take of the side Steps, but all their new D4's are arriving on 20"s so I'm stuck with them. I'll be fitting the classic D3 19" HSE rims, with new Pirelli ATR's.
So if anyone fancies a px deal on these for their late model 19" D4 rims + cash. send me a pm.

Nice motor LT ...I bet you can't wait 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
I spent a few days last week ringing round dealers to find what incoming stock they might have - 20" wheels seems the norm for dealer stock5 x D4 from 2010-2017. Defender 90XS. Porsche 992C2S

I'm looking to either swap the 20" rims for 19"s or sell. See the For Sale section.

Picked it up this afternoon. Great service as always from TH White, nice to deal with the all the same people who were there in 2006 when I bought my first D3 from them.
I thought I'd be bothered by the Discovery badge on the bonnet, but I'm not. Given the choice I'd still prefer it to be Land Rover, but actually just the one word looks fine.
Gear knob instead of stick looks neater, but I'm not yet convinced that it's as easy to use.
I don't like the twist action on the end of the stalk for the rear wiper, it was easier to push/pull the stalk.
The new shape mirrors are certainly more streamlined, must be some lose of visibility area though. Also likely to be a pain for those who want to fit extended towing mirrors, as the ones for the earlier style mirrors might not fit!
8 speed box is seamless and revs are slightly down when cruising at 70mph.
Voice activation is now intuitive with on screen prompts (maybe the same as MY12, I'm not sure) and it really is easy to use. I never bothered to work it out on my last two HSE's
Most annoying thing so far is the USB and Aux sockets are now in the top glove box. As I don't have the RSE, there's no USB socket in the rear. It was much better positioned in the centre cubby box. First world problem if ever there was one
I'm going to have to do some more playing around with the infotainment and nav system, it's very different from my last MY10 HSE. But again seems to be pretty intuitive and I like that you choose your own phone pairing code.
I also like the additional sat nav graphics and info on the instrument panel. It does seem to be safer and easier.
Corris is a nice colour, I can see why it's so popular.
The Discovery has certainly changed a lot since the first D3. For me, the 2006 HSE, was the perfect combination of practicality and luxury. It was ideal for my needs. Whilst the MY14 will be lovely to use for business during the week, I just know I'm going to be wincing even more than I was in the MY10 on the weekends when muddy people and dogs will be using it. I have a load liner, but I think I might have to finally get around to buying some seat covers.
Tomorrow I'll be putting on the set of refurbished D3 HSE rims fitted with new Pirelli ATRs. Then I'll be in the market for a new sump guard as my brilliant RLD one will not fit on the MY14.
They really are amazing vehicles, I just couldn't find any other vehicle that compared to it. So I'm now in my 8th consecutive year of Disco ownership and I still love it 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Photos will prove it exists.
As for seat covers don't pay LR prices
Genuine LR with DVD headrests sets are about 2 thirds cheaper than standard front seat covers with no DVD headrests. Dvd headrest covers not as tight a fit but not that bad.
Either get rear sets or both sets from Inka.
My rear set from Inka come with same bag, design and instructions as genuine LR items at a very considerable saving
Pretty certain Inka make them for Landrover.
One thing slightly different is a slightly more lustrous finish, but cannot tell when fitted with genuine set (DVD headrests) I have on in the front.D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

As for seat covers, I'm not impressed by the LR ones, which is probably why I've never bought them. I've read the Inka posts.
They'd be alright for the back, but I'd like some good quality canvas ones or similar for the front. Must be easy to put on & take off, as I'd only fit them when I was going somewhere muddy.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
