scotland
Off to Scotland on Saturday, taking the grandchildren up there for a week, hoping to get 22-23 mpg as it will be a steady drive, although we will be loaded up but that's what D3's are for!54 disco 3 4.4 v8 now gone

Think you may be pleasantly surprised.
I drive the A82/A83 most weeks, topping up the tank before leaving the built up area and if I stick to anywhere between low 50's and under 60, I am averaging around the 33 - 34 mpg mark, of course have to knock a few off but must still be around the 30 mark.
In fact I have last weeks results, not particularly representative as I filled up in Dumbarton, hence only a 45 mile test and not the usual 85 mile test but gives a flavour as most of the drive is on single carriageway roads

Said like a true Southerner
Scotland's a big and varied place, whereabouts in this wonderful land are you heading ?
Ps, currently I'm in hol in one of the most beautiful but yet quietest parts of the country.
(Not telling you where, as I don't want it filling up with tourists.)
...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

You'll be bypassing my little haven then
Just be aware that when you turn off the M74 and as you're in Scotland thinking your destination is just down the road, be aware it's a long, long (& sometimes torturous) drive from there.
But well worth it, enjoy....... always on the road less travelled 🚧
