It's Disco Day!!!
Yup, the day has arrived - off to Stratstone in Aykesbury at 3pm to collect my "new" car.
Well, it's only new from my perspective, it's just cracked 50k miles so it's almost run in, D4 HSE in Ipanema Sand. Very nice spec, thank you very much Land Rover
I've only added two extras - I got Supaguard for around half the advertised price. It's not something I ever add to my cars, although I always do for my wife's Mini's, so I shall be interested to see how well it does protect. The other thing was a two-year service plan. In reality it's two services, but as I do around 15k miles per year, that works out around right. It also has two years MOT tests and two inspections as well - obviously a good way for Stratstone to sell me new tyres, brakes, drop links etc, but at £399, it's not much more than a single service so I figure I'm ahead of the game.
It already comes with the most important bits for me - satnav, Bluetooth, dab, leather, the car itself (which I have always really wanted to own) and perhaps the most important extra of all - 12 months warranty
Anybody around the Aylesbury area around 3 pm, please feel free to come on down and give me a guard-of-honour send-off. Straight from the dealer to the filling station, I suspect !

Thank you chaps - there was a particularly large package waiting for me in the garden when I arrived home. I suspect that tomorrow, should the weather hold out, will be side-steps day.
It'll take a lot of the fun out of popping the car up to it's full height before Karen hurls herself bodily out, but marital harmony probably won't survive that many more incidents anyway
