Smack!

Into the back of a van on the M32 today, bonnet looks goosed, Grill & Bumper definite, ditto front fogs
Sad
Moral in the story - dont drive 165 miles after (a) getting up at 3.30 am and (b) 4 hours sleep - stupid I know, but unfortunate circumstances Big Cry

Sorry to hear that Adam. Most important thing is you are ok, and nobody got hurt (I hope). Cars can be mended.

But for the grace of God etc. Could have happened to any of us, probably more near misses than many of us would like to confess. As they say (if no one was hurt), it's only money. Thumbs Up

Agree Del, in fact it has happened to me. About 3 yrs ago I parked my Defender in the back of a Transit! It actually fitted quite nicely, once it had punched the doors in, and splayed the sides out sufficiently!

Needless to say, it was a write off ( the van not the Defender) Defender just needed a new bumper, number plate, grill and spot lamp bracket. To be fair, the chap was really decent about it, and did not claim for whiplash. He got a rental van on my insurance, and then got a cheque to buy another van.

Even though I declare it on all my renewals since, it does not seem to load my insurance cost too much. Obviously I lost a years NCD on the Defender policy.

I almost parked my Jazz in the back of a nice new(ish) FF on Monday. Luckily I clocked just in time that she'd started to go then stopped. The Jazz has very good brakes indeed, would have been different with the D3.

Told myself off afterwards as I'm getting far too keen to get to the gym. Rolling Eyes

Gareth - yours sounds a bit more spectacular than mine and Del - it takes a second - hopefully guy in van will play it the right way and not claim for whiplash etc.
Must admit, made me love my Disco more - told her I was sorry
