New Suspension Arms Fitted Caster Angle Issue |

I fitted the HD upgrade lower and upper front suspension arms from AF as raved about on here over the weekend, straight down to Kwick Fit in Newton Abbot on Sunday afternoon and up on their laser tracking system. I fitted all new bolts adjusters everything. The man doing it said he was struggling to get the Caster right. He got the camber bang on but the caster was still out, he pulled the toe-in back into line and the caster just crept into the green. Having been a Land Rover racer years ago I know what having positive and negative caster feels like to drive and I can tell this is not as it was, brakes now lock up in the wet and the steering feels snappy when it centers. What needs to be done to get this back on track so to speak. My guess is the top arm needs loosening off and sweeping as far back in the bolt holes as it can. I was surprised how much slop there was in the holes when fitting the new bolts.

Sounds to me like they are slackening off the caster bolts too much so they are riding over the positioning lugs, or the wheel plates are not free to move. Toe should be the last adjustment made, using it to correct camber will badly affect (as you know) any geometry other than straight-ahead.
As above, find somewhere that knows the kit, even if it costs a bit more.
