My new 2014 Discovery HSE - Havana
Hello all,
Got my new 2014 HSE since a month now and it is a huge improvement if compared with my former 2011 HSE (and even more with 2006 HSE).
Havana premium colour
Interior Arabica Windsor leather seats
7 seats, Meridian surround (825 Watts), privacy glass, center console cooled box, heated wheel, winter pack, keyless entry,
Reverse traffic detection, wade sensing, DAB audio, timed climate, rear climate control, surround cameras, HomeLink, full size spare wheel, tow pack plug-in
Suspensions feel a little bit firmer (better ride in curves and roundabouts) than 2011 model and- in the same time - more comfy on bumps than previous year model.
Much quiter inside, certainly due to 8-speed box and more responsive too.
4,000 km done for now and I am more than happy.
Havana colour seemed quite different from what I thought as the configurator showed it as dark brown.
But it isn't; well, not at all. It changes from blue/grey to dark/glossy brown depending on the light/sun/clouds. I have the impression to get sevreal colours in one car, which is - I must admit it - quite fun.
See pics in my gallery, please.

In a couple of weeks, I plan to have it chiptuned.
303 bhp and 650 Nm i/o 256 bhp and 600 Nm.
Fuel economy (according to O2 programmation, www.o2programmation.com) can be up to 25 %. Honnestly, I'd be more than happy with 15%, which is a fair value according to what are saying other LR owners (2014 RRS) that have chiptuned their RRS from 292 bhp to 322 bhp.

Well ... chiptuning also have some drawbacks: LR's warranty out and insurance (big) issue.
If I may ask site members your opinion about this, what would YOU do ?
TBH, My 2011 LR4 motor broke down in 2012 (@65,000 km) and I am worrying about putting more constraints to the actual engine with a remap/chiptuning.

^^ neither would I ,but it depends how much importance you place on your warranty...and how much faith you have in your car that you wont need it "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

The car doesn't need it. Quick enough as is IMO.

Congrats Cactus!
I must admit that this looks like a superb colour!!! I love it! good choice!!
BTW, how come you left the rear locking diff out of your spec, it's very close to a full option build...
Re the tune up, I wouldn't do it, but this is just a personal opinion. It just looks too much to lose for little benefit. Car performance is great, anyway!
