| Never a silly question number one. |

Had my disco 3 a mear 6 weeks and been working offshore four of them, noticed my osf wheel is missing a balance weight. Signs of one there before and vibration about 70mph. Off to local tyre gurus to get it balanced, they set the car in Access height and lock. Jacking the vehicle and the opposite wheel suspension is dropping and the guys say this happens sometimes and do not want to carry on any further. I have just read the manual and a internet article, they recommend handbrake on chock wheels and set suspension to off road. Do I have a problem with my suspension or was the guru doing it wrong.

mostly makes sense, but..... my manual and four article on some forums recommend off roads setting, with another keeping a door open after setting the height. Stating it locks the air suspension, if set on road mode and you jack it up wont it try to adjust its self???

Page 290 of the owners handbook you got with the car will tell you what you need for the D3.
Front wheels straight
apply handbrake
Park if auto - in gear if manual
Low range in the transfer box
Turn off ket and remove
Engage steering lock

Well that sounds simple enough, what was the tyre guy worried about with the suspension settings then??? Mine is a Auto so really its just put it in park and jack it up, simples!!

I forgot to put mine in gear once (its a manual) and jacked it up and the suspension went into super extended mode cos ittthought it was grounded.
I have jacked mine in off road and normal height with the above settings and had no probs. 2004 Disco 3 TDV6 SE
