Locked threads???
What's all the with locked threads until monies are paid
There was 330+ pages of, at times! quite strong! insulting and personal views aired and now all of a sudden you can't, metaphorically, look at somebody wrong
Is this a forum or a money extortion racket......

It was a light-hearted money-raising tactic for a good cause....it worked,due to the generous nature of the members of this forum,and free posting and free speech have been enabled again "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool,than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Oh lighten up ..I had grounds to lock it and leave it locked. I chose to diffuse it in a different manner which also helped a good cause generated by site users. IMHO just a bit of fun by our fave Welsh mod that has helped a good cause whilst allowing things to cool down a bit. That DG is smarter than he looks.

Wouldn't it be better to inform all of what and why when doing it or do you have to be in the 'inner sanctum' or something to get the 'joke'

A certain member of this forum had been warned on a number of occasions about abuse,name-calling and general intolerance of other peoples views on the Independence thread....DG,as he said,diffused it in an unusual,but effective manner...it would have taken a great deal of reading of the thread to have got the reasoning behind it....
