Yes it is that simple, plenty of info on this site aboiut them. Issue is about driving long distances with the ride height too high, what damage would it do to the joints?

Some of teh Aussie guys have them when they go off road & then change back when they hit the black stuff again Thumbs Up

Thumbs Up

Nothing dramatical. But it increases wear and tear. I have changed quite a few joints by now, after 72.000 km. But nothing unique about that.

To maintain stability you should put on spacers as well. +5 cm gives original sideways stability even at off road height in 100 km/t.

Just my opinion, but it looks wrong to me. The D3 just looks all out of proportion. Needs more rubber to fill all that space.

I understand why you want to do it. Its a shame it doesn't look "right".

The "fat boy tires" make all the difference! 285/65/18 for now. 275/70/18 will be next.

Adusting too high will result in less articulation and defeat the purpose. About 10mm longer is about right IMHO.
If permanently installed you should get an alignment done though.

If permanently installed, along with oversize tyres, you had better hope you don't get a suspension fault! The car will drop to the bump-stops and getting home will be a _very_ torturous and tyre shredding experience - not that I'd know Whistle

Cheers,
