Any other info Dizzy?

Last serviced? Oil level? Oil visible under the engine cover? Oil down sides or just by the sump?

It could just be crying as you may not have talked sweetly at it for a while....

When a friend's old Defender stopped leaking oil he called it the menopause.

Check the engine sump as may have corrosion between the temperature sensor and sump plug as it will be sign of porous sump. Happened to my D3 patches of oil on the road and then eventually bled to death overnight. Thankfully a neighbour clocked it whilst walking his dog.

Can you get the plate off for a better look? It's only a few bolts holding it in - but beware they are quite heavy!

mate get the beast on axel stand you can get a better look then you will be able to tell were its coming from when you get right under Thumbs Up

I have been under mine for the past two days doing the wishbones .... but had a good look under the engine and to see if there was any problems down there . Tip put the car on the second hight on the stands you will be able to crawl under with more ease .

Good luck hope its not to bad Thumbs Up

It could be quite messy Dizzy, so perhaps you could talk your husband into it and then act surprised when the oil flows?

Idea

Or do what I'd do. Get the car recovered & let someone else get messy. Whistle
