Blocked RUPP - Bourn, Cambridgeshire |
|
There are several trees preventing passage on the RUPP between the A1198 and Bourn, approximately where the arrow is on this streetmap link:
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=53320...7&lm=0
There are about 4 which are too large to cut or move with a hand saw and means that the RUP is effectively blocked and you have to turn Sill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders

Not sure what you are meaning by RUP, unles you mean RUPP (Road Used as Public Path) I've had a look on Trailwise and it doesn't list that as a BOAT (Byway Open to All Traffic) The only one it lists is the track on the East side of the A1198 which goes through Bellams Farm however this has a seasonal TRO on it so is closed to traffic from April to November. Are you sure that the lane you were on is legal to drive? The logs blocking the track may have been there for a reason. Cheers Ian

I think it's TL3154-01 (BOAT) on trailwise. Closed by TRO from 01 Oct - 30Apr (so legal to drive at the moment). No mention of any obstruction. MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added
MY2019 D5 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - sold to a dealer for a crazy price! - So good I bought another!

You're right it is TL3154-01, don't know why it didn't show up on my first search. Do you have full access to Trailwise Jon? It's just the comment on without logging in is
Restriction type : Traffic Regulation Order (TRO). Duration : Seasonal.
Description : Seasonal against all motors, though m/c may be reviewed in 2011
Season : 01 OCT - 30 APR, Currently inactive (today 27/09/2014).
As the bolded bit shows it is currently inactive Cheers Ian

Yes, I have full access. It looks as though people have been using it over the summer months without any problem. There's no mention of any obstruction in the comments from earlier in this summer. MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

Yes, sorry RUPP - I've edited the original post.
It is legal to drive on and has a seasonal TRO, which starts 1st Nov. Cambridgeshire is really helpful and put a nice big sign and barrier up with the TRO dates and vehicle restrictions.
I've driven it previously and it's been clear, the trees look like recent wind damage, you can see where they've broken off the tree, they've definitely not been placed. I walked the blocked section and there are about half a dozen fallen down over about half a mile. Sill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders
