New D3 fridge into D4?

Hi, first post so apologise if this has been asked but I couldn't find it in the search.

Is there any reason why a cubby fridge for a D3 wouldn't go into a D4 with the ipod connections in the lid??

From what I've read the only difference is a slot in the rear trim surround of the D4 fridge to allow for the cable to pass through?

If this is true then is it just a simple case of cutting/dremel a slot for the cable and then plug and play?

answers most appreciated!

I don't know about the newer D4's, but I have a D4 fridge in my D3. If you get one that had the phone kit, you might find the slot to be the same Thumbs Up

Yes, a cut/Dremel is all that is required to get the cable through Thumbs Up

You won't get the D3 "stay on when ignition off" though, or I don't think you will
