Interior LEDs
I apologize in advance for this dumb question but I must be missing something very simple. I decided to change some internal bulbs, starting with the boot, to LEDs. I am presuming that the ones I bought at first were wrong as they were for CANBUS. Needless to say, they didn't work. (I'll keep them for my motorbike). So I bought a couple of W5Ws non-CANBUS. But they don't work either! What am I doing wrong?

They do have a polarity but it would be very bad luck if you've fitted them all in wrong way round.

I bought 20 El cheapo ones from Fleabay earlier in the year at 50p each and they were fine internally, if not a tad blue. Bought proper job ones from AF for the sidelights after the cheap ones resulted in an MOT fail. On one cheap one i found with a flashing element in one of them but other wise fine. No good for indicator side repeater as made it yellow not orange. Deffo cheap but worthwhile mod.
pdes, just a thought but are the old filament bulbs still working, easy enough to check? Have you blown a fuse?

The incandescent bulb still works so no problem with the electrics. Didn't realise they were polarity sensitive though. I'll pop out and try again.

Deffo polarity. Caught me out on first fitting LEDs. Plenty of threads re LEDs, the sidelight ones from AF are not the cheapest but well worth the extra.
