D4 Puddle light fuse ?
I've gone to replace my puddle light bulbs with LEDs did the rear ones ok but the front ones don't work now ,so I guess I've blown a fuse

Are you sure you've blown the fuse and not just put the LEDs in the wrong way round? Do you have power to the cables? We can check it tomorrow. Bodsys Brake Bible

Yes there was power to the cables as the standard bulbs were on,yes they bulbs are in the right way as ive tried them both ways,I was thinking maybe because I pulled the bulb out while it was on that I might have blown a fuse...

Yup, mine did the same, although all that I had to do is shut the door, lock, unlock job done.
It may have something to do with the timer?D4 HSE all the way

I am having the same issue, all work fine except front doors! Have tried locking and leaving but no joy! Any other suggestions? Is there a fuse?

Hi,
it looks like the electronics switching the lights in the front doors need a certain load. LEDs without CAN-Bus resistors showed the same problem on my car. Replaced them with LEDs with CAN-BUS resistors and everything has been fine since.

I can confirm I had to buy resistor LED's for the front doors, a quick fault clear and hey presto all working now! All I can say is wow what a lot of bulbs! 4 Doors, 2 footwell, 1 Glove box, 3 interior front lights, 3 middle and 3 rear interiors (including map/reading) plus 2 number plates, that's 18!

I popped the little connector and switch out and pulled it down, watch out though its fiddly and that bulb gets pretty hot quickly!

Thanks. Easy when you know how - or have asked the forum:)
For the front puddles looks like MY14 needs the resistor bulbs - the lock unlock, turn them around options have not worked...

So, w5w plug and play load resistors added to front door puddle lights (LEDs), plus done a lock/unlock sequence.....passenger door puddle now works, drivers door not...what's goin on?
