Pilling Land Rover, Welwyn Garden City
Anyone had any dealings good or bad with Pilling Land Rover, Welwyn Garden City?
Secured a New, Gen LR 'A' Frame from them via e-bay
[got for £200 versus list £387].
Got a quote for them to fit - £111 inc Vat
Checked this with my Local Dealer - Ripon Landrover, and they quoted £200 + vat.
So far been dealing with Jim, excellent service.
He even advised that there's an 'enhancement' needing done to my vehicle and has offered to do it whilst I'm there.
So far, excellent service.
But ...do you know otherwise???...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Its a good 2-3 hour job to fit the A Bar - if I said the basic order is:
Remove Grill
Remove Headlamps
Remove Wheel Arches
Remove Front Bumper
Collect Washer Bottle Contents
Bolt on A Bar Mounting Brackets
Drill Front Bumper
Refit Front Bumper
Refit Wheel Arches
Refit Headlamps
Bolt on A Bar
Refit Grill
Refill Washer Bottle
You'd see why.... Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Hey DS, don't blame me ... it was Doctor Diesel who started it!!
Anyway, back ON TOPIC but slightly
I assume I'll have no real issues in hanging my Spots from the 'A' frame and also wiring them up myself ........
..... or will I? ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

If you haven't defaced a £30K+ car that badly then you haven't lived!
I actually drove mine like that and all it complained about was the washer bottle being empty!
There's loads of little clips to accidentally bust round the wheel arches too! Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
