D3 TO D4

Looking to upgrade to a D4 09 xs but i notice that from my S spec D3 with heated seats and 6 disc cd player and other little bits that you dont get much with this model, is the SE the one to get with a few more toys.
Also i know that all D4`s are now autos but as i havent test driven one yet am i getting much difference with performance and relibilty ?

Thanks for your time.

XS has heated front seats and single CD plus DAB radio and iPod connection. 3 litre engine is quicker than the 2.7. Next model up is the HSE.

Increasingly CD players seem to be used less and less, many people preferring digital audio from ipods or other such devices. I probably think that the single CD slot in newer vehicles where older similar spec models would have had a multi is a reflection of that. Similar to when cars still came with cassette players when CDs became the thing. Progress, they call it.

I am sure you are right Pedros, although I miss no longer having a multi CD player/changer as I don't keep music on my phone and being a BlackBerry I am not even sure if it would connect to the car.

Thanks for your replies. I am still looking for one and have decided it has to be a xs. Just to Censored me off before I sell the old gal she rejects the compresser. £800 plus labour ffs. Oh well next owner will have a good disco.

It changed for model year 2012, so it is possibly an 8 speed, is it advertised, surely that would say?

It's a six speed, look at the internal photos, old layout and a lever rather than a knob

It's also not necessarily a 61 plate, (actually says 51)

The single slot CD in the Discovery 4 has a hard drive fitted, so you can copy 10 CDs to the hard drive plus still play the CD you have in the slot. So plenty of music on board.
