Just keep it for the LR birthday celebrations at Cooma.
How about we have competition to see HOW FAR WE CAN THROW IT.
I will offer a bottle of wine to the person who can throw it furtherest

Steady on Rob, it's not a caber you know! But mnaybe if we could invite the b*****d who OK'd the design (and the designer) we could try chucking them instead... LeighW
The old girl is on her third engine...
* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)

Probably only be able to get the same distance. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

What else can we do with this useless thing ?
I can think of some,
Chaining 20 of them together to make a boat anker,
Welding a heap of them together to create a work of art,
As most of us have done, use it to plough a furrow.
OK what ideas are out there?

My apols. on this subject but it realy is a joke this iron thing

"How can Icount the ways?"
1. You can't remove the spare tyre with it on.
2. It severely restricts departure angle (hence 'the plough")
3. It doesn't allow for a high enough coupling to connect an off-road camper trailer and have it anything but very nose down(not good for towing stability / weight distribution).
If you look under the thread 'towing hitch', you'll see much has been writtem about this and that there are some solutions starting to come to light.
Cheers,
Martin

G'Day Cat,
My tow pack was an extra in an accessory pack, along with bullbar & driving lights. Country Pack they called it. Did you think I would leave you crying,
When there's room in my D3 for 7,
Climb in here Joe we'll soon be flying,
I can go just as fast with 7.

AFAIK it is standard on SE option on S. I think. It definatey came with mine.
Disco James check with your dealer if you can't find it in the side pocket in to rear. They should give you a free dirt plough. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Thanks for your responses
The dealer said that the tow pack is included, but the "plough" is not included in the tow pack - i.e. electrics and tow bar receiver are there, just not tow ball and bar! Not sure why, but they want around $200 for the "plough" as you put it.
My intention was to leave it off until I needed it - which is rarely - probably only used my current one around 12 times in 3 years.
