Best place to pass a wire from roof to trunk ?
Hi all,
This week I'm about to install solar cells on top of the rooftent.
I just got one problem, how Do I get the power cable from the roof, to the back of the trunk, where my 2nd batterie is fitted?
For now I have 3 possible options, but none is satisfying
1. Entering via the rear trunkdoor rubbers (no drilling) but then I risk of getting water in
2. Going to the front, go down behind the black plastic at the side of the windshield, enter the motorcompartement, via the chassis to the back, and entering via the existing holes near the rear lights. But then I really use a very long long wire (= extra resistance)
3. Via the roof, where on models with build-in navigator the gps receiver is fitted. But all is unknown there.
Is there already a hole drilled? If so, how do I remove the interior roof "decoration" to get the wire from the inside.
Or does someone have a better idea?In a time of chimpanzees, I was a penguin.

wire in to trunk
just go down the outside of the tailgate rubber right to the bottom, out underneath the car and back up to behind one of the rear lights and enter through the cabel gromit there.CLUB "Ah Shor it'll be grand"

come again?
Getting out I can see, but then I'm lost In a time of chimpanzees, I was a penguin.
Not sure if you completed this yet. On models with out the puck antenna, there is a small black platic plug. If you remove it there is a hole through the roof. You then take the liner off (held on by clips) with the rear light and can access the hole.
