Peter, Simon has a photo in his gallery of that make tyre fitted to 18" rims. He might like to comment on the tyres in general.
Although I have done around 27k on my standard GoodYear Wrangler HPs (17") I would consider either Cooper ATRs or the MT Bajas as they seem a happy compromise to a fully fledged offroad tyre.
From your link, the MTs are LT and almost the same overall diameter as standard so should be a suitable replacement.

The old girl is on her third engine...
* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)
Norto - yes . we've been very happy with the overall performance of the Mickey Thompson ATZ - far from the most agrresive tyre around, but a good compromise, and not too noisy on road.
cheers.
