Search for members by initial

Is it not possible to search for a member by initial ??

For example if I wanted to search for cab .. Do I have to go through all the odds / the A's / the B's first ? G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Go to PMs, select new message and start typing the username and it will give a drop down list of the members starting with those letters.

Not a perfect solution but it works IID PRO

You can also search using a * after the CAB in the search function by author

This will bring up any post by people with CaB at the beginning of their name

Sort of works, but the PM idea might be easier

Thanks for the suggestion Adrian, there is now a letter-drop down in the "sort by" filters at the top of the member list. Selecting a letter (or number) and pressing sort will restrict the list shown to only usernames starting with that character
