D4 spare light bulbs for European driving

I am too cosy to venture out in the torrential rain we have here at present so wondered if anyone could tell me whats needed to comply with the legal requirement of spare bulbs on the Continent. I have Zenon/Halogen headlamps for which (Having just upgraded to Ring Xenonstars) I have spare H7 Halogen. Can anyone tell me what else I need to comply? There are a number of kits on the Bay of E but they don't take the LED rears into account. Do they have to? Any help appreciated. Thumbs Up

I just got back from Austria and just did the filament bulbs, my understanding is you do not need to worry about LED. I also did not carry a spare Xenon bulb either.

I think I'll come straight to you from now on. Laughing

I have the spare set from my D3 which had it in the cubby in the boot when I got it. It had BiXenons so also has a Xenon bulb in it. With the H7 I've possibly got all I need then. Thumbs Up

Doesn't the D3 take D2S xenon bulbs and the D4 D3S? I.e. different bulbs?

As far as I'm aware, it is not a Legal Requirement, it's an advisory to carry spares.

I always thought it was a requirement but I've checked and you're correct. Sorted.

Yes Nathan, tyres. yours are spares for when my current ones wear out but have no fear, I'll take some. Thumbs Up

Im sure its a requirement for some places - I think it goes if you are pulled you need to be able to replace on the spot or get a fine.

That said I have never and would never carry a xenon bulb

http://www.euroadlegal.co.uk has information for lots of countries

I have always carried spare filament bulbs only and still have the same ones that I carried for the D3 in the D4 so not sure how many would fit.
 D4 2010 HSE Santorini Black
D3 2005 SE Java Black - p/x to D4
