I always make a point (or two) when experiencing poor service - but will also acknowledge good or superior service.
My first encounter with LR Sandton was when I bought my D3 through Jacques - everything went smooth and at the end I received my vehicle earlier than expected - I gave them an excellent rating when an external company contacted me.
My recent encounter with the service area also went smooth and although I insisted to see the dealer principle on Monday morning and he was present when I conveyed my story to them, I do not think he involved himself too much in the process.
Although I still think that keeping the vehicle for two days is a bit long - I do realise that this was done without prior booking or notice.
Regular feed-back was given to me by Darren and I only discovered today that the self-locking feature is now active on the vehicle which I queried after the purchase.
Well done LR Sandton !! Hopefully you'll only see me again for the first service

Deon, glad you got good service form LR Sandton, had exactly the same service experience with them, DP did not give a about my problem.
I am staying in Pretoria and will always service my vehicle at Sandton LR as I always get the best service from Johan (workshop manager) every niggle I just phone him up and he is always willing to help.

Heine - the deciding factor will be my trip to Nelspruit this week-end.
I am taking some people to look at developments in the area and must state that they are all T-yota fanatics. Imagine the reaction when we get stranded next to the road - I will be taking my video camera along to capture this - hopefuly not !!!

I've had a good buying experience at Land Rover Constantia. I've got a service booked soon with Waterford but they seem to be well sorted there so no worries for now.
Its amazing that in this day and age one still encounter bad service when it is so easy to get knuckled in the media and on the net. At least LR Sandton is getting the opposite here!
