Alarm sound/ beeping once the key was put into the ignition

Hi
I have a series of beeps once the key is put in the ignition and the system check appears on the screen.

Is the vehicle checking the system and if so can it be turned off.

I never had it in my first D3

Any help would be great. Cheers

Today I made sure the door was closed and once the key was in the ignition and turned to position one.
10 beeps, sounds and then it stopped.
System check was on the display due the beeps.
Then I started the disco.

Any ideas šŸ’”

So you have any airbag faults?
Does the red airbag light on the dash work okā€™?

The 10 alarm sounds are still there.

Door closed = 10 chims
Interior light off = 10 chins
No airbag warning light = still 10 bloody chims šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

I have got a diagnosis tool at the momentā€¦..

Is it the systems checking itā€™s self snd if it is csn it be turned off.

Regards

The Autel AP200 white from Ā£45 is amazing value for money

My question was, does the red airnag light come on when the ignition is on,
and does it go out after a few seconds.

I know jags made beeps if the airbag bulb had failed. etc. A wild guess.

Have you tried with a spare key? Something reminds me that it could be a warning that the key battery is on its way out / not charging.

First the reply to Pete.
The airbag light comes on once the key is in the ignition and turned to position one, then it goes out.

Then for Kevin, at the moment I only have one key, Iā€™m waiting for one from Land Roverā€¦ā€¦, 300 odd quid šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ But I will check it out once it arrives šŸ‘šŸ‘

Cheers fr
Or everyone help

Hi

Yikes , Ā£ 300 for another key , Ref the key are u aware u can get one for around Ā£40 and then use the Autel as @pete k recommend to program it , hopefully u can cancel the order as thatā€™s outrageous to ask for that kind of money for a key

Found these alas havenā€™t used them , just need programming and blank cut

With the passenger door open you will see near the air vent a switch to turn the front passenger seat airbag off/On, if it is switched to off this may be causing the alarm, use the ignition key in the switch to change the setting.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Another update on these bloody chimes.

Checked the airbags. Switched then on and checked ā€¦.. chime still there.
Switched them off ā€¦. Chimes still there, so switched the airbags back on ( chimes still there).

Could it be the amount of personal modes chosen?

Still waiting for the key to arrive, bu5 it has been Christmas.
