is there any mileage in positioning the roof bars on the reamost two notches when they are not in use(i know i really shpould take them off) like the espace or like they suggest on the xc90.do you think it will give les drag and therefore reduce fuel consumption?

I think that when your vehicle is about as aerodynamic as a house brick it will make FA difference.
Just my opinion though! Back in the game!

You'll probably just not get so much wind noise as they are at the back... also make sure you don't go near NCP car parks with them on
