New Posts based on IP Address rather than Username?
This has been frustrating me for a while now, but I *think* I've just figured out what's going on...
The "New Posts" link is great; I use it all the time to bring myself up to date with what's been happening on the forum whilst I was away. Sometimes I can be away for several hours but am greeted with "No posts met your criteria" or similar.
What seems to be happening is that the last logged-in time is being recorded against a client's IP address rather than a forum username. This means that when I access the forum on my iPhone or - even worse - when I connect to my employer's VPN, and refresh the site in the same browser I was using before I connected to the VPN, the list of topics I was reading is gone.
Is this a known problem, Martin? Can anything be done to fix this, please?
