Stratsone Solihull Dealership to Close end of May 2015

just had a call from my dealership as above, to say they can no longer do my upcoming service which was booked weeks ago,,as this dealership is closing at the end of May 2015, ie just a few weeks way.

Now I know they have not been perfect, but at least they are on my doorstep.

They did try to convince me to take my Disco 4 HSE over to Stratstone in Stourbridge, but that's a really long schlep from Solihill, and last time I used them, they left dirty marks all over the inside of the car, and the general quality of service work was poor, so I vowed to not use them again.

So question now is what dealership to use that is local.

I have used Bushbury in Wolverhampton before, but they were the worst of the lot so far!

Any suggestions guys?

Stourbridge are useless, and Bushbury isnt Busbury any more, hasnt been for about 5 or so years, its also part of Stratstones but Jag only.

I tend to use Colliers, now in their new shiny premises on the tyburn road Erdington (not far from Jag Castle Brom)

Only had a service not long ago and they were talking about moving the service Desk back downstairs as it wasnt working with customers having to go upstairs all the time.

Our options are Guy Salmon in Coventry or Stratford

Yes that's what I was told when they called me.

However they did not say anything about a service transiston from Stratstone to Listers.

I have made a massive assumption that the dealership in Shirley will still be Land Rover, but operated by Listers.

Not sure if that is good or bad though.

Also why has this change not be formally communicated to existing owners?

Or even a public statement, that they are closing and the new owners are taking over?

I must pop in and see what the plans are - I've not had mine serviced by them for some time, but do get parts from them quite regularly. Probably need to buy something now Rolling with laughter

Last time I was in (Couple of weeks ago) it was a mad house trying to park and that was one thing they were all moaning about. I remember going right around the back to park by the end - but that stopped a year or so ago when they had a load more cars in.

Nigel, I'm guessing I'm as close or a bit closer than you to them. Whistle Mark.

Try Listers Droitwich, a quick trip down the M42/M5. Just had my service there (and bought my car from them) no complaints regarding either and will be going back

Thanks for the extra feedback guys.

I went past the droitwich dealer today, and thought they would be a good possible alternative!

I do In tend to call into Stratstone soon , to find out what's going on re the future etc.
