Fitting a drop plate towbar (Fixing bolts)
Hi
I have just sold my detachable swan neck Towbar and purchased a genuine LR fixed Towbar from eBay, this evening I have gone to fit it only to find that there aren't any fixings in the chassis rails for the support struts. I phoned Ashford LR and the guy in the parts dept told me you cannot buy the fixings on their own or as part of a fixing kit.
He suggested putting some M14?? bolts through to secure the struts but I'm a little concerned that just bolts will not offer the same sort of security as the actual spacers which I should fit do and I'm going to crush the chassis or it will always come loose.
Can anybody help? Does anyone know ehere I can get correct fixings??
Thanks for looking.
