Congrats  I've had a Volvo,VW T4 and now we have aVW Polo all in black, good job our Amy loves detailing vehicles, cos I don't. Mantec sump guard.

When have you placed the order if I may ask. It is all weird to me as my dealer tells me it will be delivered the last week of August but no confirmed build date. So does he know the date or is it just a BS?

Black looks good - especially just after being 'quick waxed'..... 20 minutes later the dust has settled and it needs another 'waxing'
Metallic should be a little more 'forgiving' than the solid black on my current Land Cruiser ..... my Discovery HSE, I've been told, should be built beginning of July for delivery mid July (ordered mid May)...in Santorini Black... - I just love it in black! .... despite it showing every mark. I've just asked for Cat 5 Tracker .... to be fitted at dealership (Insurance company did not want to know unless tracker fitted) - probably by external Thatcham fitters .... so may delay it a bit I reckon..

i ordered mine last month and I'm still to hear a build date haha, got to love these so called premium dealers. My wife used to have a Lexus and they were without a doubt the best people I've ever dealt with.

I ordered mine in March, got told a build date 2 wks ago, got built yesterday (Friday car!!!  ) and picking up on 2nd July 
Don't understand why some dealers can give detailed info quickly and others either can't be bothered or keep you in reserve to fill their 'quota' perhaps?
Its been a long wait but the end is in sight! 8)

I had an email off the dealer saying how thankful they are for the order and how I'm to be expected to have constant comms with them as my delivery gets closer, I've just looked and i ordered my car on the 15th may so I've emailed her back saying I've heard absolutely zilch off them since ordering a 60k car, I'm not bothered by the sep or oct delivery i am bothered by the lack of comms though and thats what I've said haha, i like ruffling feathers and the whole dealers being your best mates don't wash with me either, i told my salesman that if he looks after me he'll get a new car order off me every year and maybe also one for the wife, if he doesn't then ill go elsewhere. no skin off my nose

 I kinda got the impression that they were doing me a 'favour' by taking my cash and I'll get a car 'sometime' I tried a few dealers before settling on this one and only because of the deal on offer. Some of the others appeared quite 'aloof' and unconcerned about getting the sale. Any other car I've bought the salesmen certainly 'seemed' a bit more keen and willing to negotiate

My dealer has never contacted me .... its me contacting them....! But having said that the salesman gets back to me pretty sharpish ... but Yes ..... it does seem a one way street...
I think Land Rover are swamped with orders and they can't really keep up or 'bust a gut' to sell a car... maybe thats a good thing...? 2016MY Discovery HSE - Black
