ARB Bullbar 5W front light bulbs keep blowing |
|
Does anyone else with the ARB BB have the 5W globes in the clearance lights keep blowing.
I've had both LH and RH blow within months of replacement. I've fitted 5W and 10W but they still blow.
Anyone else have the problem?
I was thinking about looking for LED repalcements if you can get them for this 5W globe which might solve the problem.

No problems with mine, but is it normal that they come on when ignition is turned on. Ie they are alwayse on when engine running even though lights are turned off .
I did have problems with ARB wiring up my aux battery controller, they wired it up around the wrong way, and when I went to fix it I also found they had not done the crimp fittings properly so I did it properly. I phoned ARB to explain , they did offer to fix it but I decided to do it myself. Not suprisingly no more buisness for ARB at Fyshwick A.C.T. [ There is another ARB in town]
Think you should check the wireing is correct.
This same ARB franchise instaled my BB, and was not overly impressed with the way the plastic wheel liner was cut to fit, at least it is not noticeable, should have done it myself or mayby I am just to fussey and perdantic.

Rob,
The parking lights only come on if the lights are switched on so they are wired correctly. It seems that the voltage might be too high for the globes to handle in the long term hence they blow.

I had one blow 6 months from new. The ARB guy noted that the wiring standard was way below the quality of the bar in general. It seems they have cost cut by using cheap and nasty wiring. He upgraded the wiring, no problems since

ARB - wiring and other electrical components that come with the kit is said to be poor

Ditto
Should look at the wiring when I get a chance. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
