new se this weekend
Landrover Disco 4 SE spec as posted on 14.4.2015 born on Friday 10.7 2015 delivered to dealership yesterday and should be ready this weekend. Quite relieved its here as we are of to Spain, Bay of Roses camping Las Dunas on 8.8.2015 with tin tent. Will give me time to get sorted. Plenty of kit in SE to keep me happy and the wife says Im going deaf so any expense on upgrades of sound etc would be totally wasted on me. Will post a few pickies when sorted

Time will soon pass ! I ordered mine early May but got caught up in 16MY build wait, dealers don't have SE's on stock for obvious reasons Ours is Corris Grey,703 style wheels,rear privacy glass, grand black finishers,heated seats and roof rails. Fingers crossed this is as good as our out going 5 seat D3 which apart from erg valves and front spring replacement has been superb. Looked at new Disco Sport which I had been tracking in media for 18 months, also Audi Allroad and Q3sport but just couldn't tear myself away from this. Couple of picks txt across to me from dealers. Two more sleeps Will post more over weekend

yes Robse I agree entirely, but when I started to look this was the general attitude from dealers around the country. My original plan was to look for a SE under 12 months old with low mileage but they are a rare thing and when you find one dealers want top money. I managed to get my new vehicle for around the same price as a 6 month old vehicle with 6,000 miles on the clock. They would rather take another 5,10 or 15 grand off you as you move up the model range, but as they say 'you pay yer money you takes yer choice.

Most dealers only seem to have hse or better SE are rare lucky my dealer rang me cancelled order £40k with options on it to me bargain ...

Well I didn't experience any snobbery when I ordered mine !! I preferred to go new as most of the second hand ones I looked at certainly hadn't been looked after the way I would.Velar MY18 D180 S Narvik

Robse, sorry if I gave the impression of snobbery (that was not intended)the phrase was meant to highlight the acute business sense of most Dealer Principals who realise that the Landrover brand is now very much a premium product, ( and I hate that phrase also).
If you look on Landrovers approved used webb site now you will find 323 HSEs, 102 HSE luxuries and just 7 SE's 5 of the used 7 SE's are all well over 40k. If you send them a email asking how much off for cash you receive a reply along the the lines of "well thanks for your enquiry but we don't discount" I know cos I have been there and suppose thats the scenario I was trying to portray. I agree with your comment on buying new to you.
