This was taken at Rover Owners' Association of Virginia's Mid Atlantic Rally-one of the largest in the US. 400 Landies. This year a Tropical Storm rolled through beginning Friday morning and dumped 7 inches during the rally. I attempted one trail Friday morning... One portion of the trail I would get 2/3's up, then slide back down.... with all four wheels locked and spinning. I eventually winched to the top attached to a truck that had to be anchored to a tree to keep me from pulling him down. Its a little unnerving to be sliding backwards down a trail while still gunning it or with my foot standing on the brake... Just hoping not to jump the rut and slide into the lake. Like one Rangie did later on.

Here are the rest of my pix if you didn’t follow the link

Great pix Tim,

You like few are a true sportsman with your LR3 (errr too many Moms at the store with LR3's). As I'm sure you've read about my vehicle, I hope to have it properly outfitted to do a border to border trip through the rockies. One thing you have over me is the rear locker but no worries I just wait till something comes out as a remedy.

Thanks again for the pics. Good to see someone using their rover.
