Tailgate Handle screws / brass locking bolts
Guys,
After fitting my new ProSpeed ladder over the weekend, I had to remove the tailgate handle. In the process of doing so, the 4 screws on the outer edge of the tailgate afix to brass nuts within the handle.
They refused to budge to the point that the brass nuts came away still attached to the screws. Great.
Is there a better solution I can do here? I'm assuming the brass nuts are pretty useless now, so what can I use instead?
Thanks

I had the same problem. Lots of penetrating fluid and judicious use of a wrench etc managed to separate the brass nuts from the screws. You can then glue the nuts back into the handle using araldite or similar. Once cured, a bit of grease on the threads should stop them seizing again.
