Finally found myself a D4... What do you think? |
|
After ages searching and convincing the wife that discovery 4 was better than the Q7 finally put down a deposit on a D4, what do you guys think?
Seeing it for the first time tomorrow, I know it's not the latest or greatest but I figure it's still a good car to lug the family about in.

That looks very nice and the best wheel style, price may be a little high for year bur mileage is low.
I'm sure you will enjoy Disco ownership. Displaced Yorkshireman.

i recently bought same spec and year and would highly recommend the D4 over the Q7
my brother in law came down recently in his 15 plate Q7 and after we had been out in mine commented how much nicer the D4 looked and felt inside
only thing i preferred on the Q7 was the remote boot open function
back to your main point tho yes looks a good buy as with those miles seen 80K + miles up for £27-28K
just check if theres and warranty and what cost level and stuff is covered just in case as a lot of the second hand dealer warranties arnt worth the paper they are written on.
RAC inspection maybe worthwhile ,if they are genuine seller then dont see they would object
all the best hope it works out MY05 SE D3 Manual my first LR what a car
MY10 HSE D4 auto
MY14 XXV more buttons than the spaceshuttle

There are a lot of LR AUC cars at that price of similar spec, granted they are higher mileage however they come with the LR warranty for 2 years (worth an extra 2-3k). I would personally shy away from a 5 year old 3l diesel with only 30k on the clock, screams to me that its only ever been used for the school run!

It may have been used as a Chelsea tractor, but I'm not sure that'd put me off really. It could have had a worse life! The price does look a bit toppy, but it's reasonable for a good car and hopefully the warranty will be good. I've got a 2010 too and they are brilliant! You will absolutely enjoy it. Of course the later ones have some better stuff (the gearbox mainly) but having driven both, a 2010 Disco is still awesome.
Enjoy!

Great looker. Fantastic spec, same as my one but 5 years younger
In future when will come to me upgrading, I would go for the same one.
Very jealous. Disco 3 HSE (55) - gone
BMW x3 (62) x30d MSport - current
